1.  *     Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High,     Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High.     سورة الاعلى  بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ٛــــ سبح اسم ربك الاعلى     Praise/glorify your Lord's name the highest/mightiest.         Sabbihi isma rabbika al-aAAla
 
2.  *     Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion;     He creates and shapes.     الذي خلق فسوى     Who created, so He straightened.         Allathee khalaqa fasawwa
 
3.  *     Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance;     He designs and guides.     والذي قدر فهدى     And who predestined/evaluated, so He guided.         Waallathee qaddara fahada
 
4.  *     And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture,     He produces the pasture.     والذي اخرج المرعى     And who brought out/made (to) emerge the pasture.         Waallathee akhraja almarAAa
 
5.  *     And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble.     Then turns it into light hay.     فجعله غثاء احوى     So He made/created it rotten/spoiled (thin and dry) green/red with blackness.         FajaAAalahu ghuthaan ahwa
 
6.  *     By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget,     We will recite to you; do not forget.     سنقرئك فلا تنسى     We will make you read, so do not forget.         Sanuqri-oka falatansa
 
7.  *     Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden.     Everything is in accordance with GOD's will; He knows what is declared, and what is hidden.     الا ماشاء الله انه يعلم الجهر ومايخفى     Except what God willed/wanted/intended, that He truly knows the declared/publicized and what hides.         Illamashaa Allahu innahu yaAAlamu aljahra wamayakhfa
 
8.  *     And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path).     We will direct you to the easiest path.     ونيسرك لليسرى     And We ease you to the ease/prosperity.         Wanuyassiruka lilyusra
 
9.  *     Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer).     Therefore, you shall remind; perhaps the reminder will benefit.     فذكر ان نفعت الذكرى     So remind if the remembrance/reminder benefited.         Fathakkir in nafaAAati alththikra
 
10.  *     The admonition will be received by those who fear ((Allah)):     The reverent will take heed.     سيذكر من يخشى     Who fears will remember/praise/glorify.         Sayaththakkaru man yakhsha
 
11.  *     But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones,     The wicked will avoid it.     ويتجنبها الاشقى     And the most miserable/unhappy avoids/distances himself from it.         Wayatajannabuhaal-ashqa
 
12.  *     Who will enter the Great Fire,     Consequently, he will suffer the great Hellfire.     الذي يصلى النار الكبرى     Who roasts/suffers the fire, the greatest.         Allathee yaslaalnnara alkubra
 
13.  *     In which they will then neither die nor live.     Wherein he never dies, nor stays alive.     ثم لايموت فيها ولايحيى     Then he does not die in it and nor live.         Thumma layamootu feehawalayahya
 
14.  *     But those will prosper who purify themselves,     Successful indeed is the one who redeems his soul.     قد افلح من تزكى     Who purified/corrected had succeeded/won.         Qad aflaha man tazakka
 
15.  *     And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer.     By remembering the name of his Lord and observing the contact prayers (Salat).     وذكر اسم ربه فصلى     And mentioned/remembered his Lord's name, so he prayed.         Wathakara isma rabbihi fasalla
 
16.  *     Day (behold), ye prefer the life of this world;     Indeed, you are preoccupied with this first life.     بل تؤثرون الحياة الدنيا     But you prefer/choose the life the present/worldly life.         Bal tu\thiroona alhayata alddunya
 
17.  *     But the Hereafter is better and more enduring.     Even though the Hereafter is far better and everlasting.     والاخرة خير وابقى     And the end (other life is) better and more lasting (everlasting).         Waal-akhiratu khayrun waabqa
 
18.  *     And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),-     This is recorded in the earlier teachings.     ان هذا لفي الصحف الاولى     That truly that (is) in (E) the written pages (Books/Scriptures) the first/beginning.         Inna hathalafee alssuhufi al-oola
 
19.  *     The Books of Abraham and Moses.     The teachings of Abraham and Moses.     صحف ابراهيم وموسى     Abraham's and Moses' written pages (Books/Scriptures).         Suhufi ibraheema wamoosa
